Well in fact …. a new President for Lorient North America!

We are delighted to announce that a team of two Directors from Lorient; Paul Chudley and Kristy G Jones, has successfully mounted a management buyout for the majority shareholding of Lorient North America Limited – the company that is based in Lexington, Kentucky. As a result of the deal, finalised on 5th February, the duo, with over 25 years’ experience between them, offer continuity and security for their Kentucky based operation.

Paul and his business partner Kristy have been running the operation for many years with Paul hopping across the Atlantic from the UK with increasing regularity. Their investment in Lorient’s future in the USA is a sure sign that there is still much confidence and belief in what the US market can offer in coming years, even though times are tough throughout the world right now. Both Paul and Kristy believe this deal helps to secure Lorient North America’s future and the livelihood of their loyal team in Lexington. Paul, who is well known to the UK and European industry remains a Director of the UK company and will continue to play an active role in the running of that business alongside his new American venture.

This exciting news has been welcomed and supported by Lorient staff around the world – as it is a proven, well known and successful management team that will continue to lead Lorient North America; retaining the strong values that have earned the company its reputation for innovation, manufacturing excellence and service over the Group’s 30 year history. While no fundamental changes are planned, it is hoped that this new ownership team can bring with it some fresh thinking, new energy and will deliver even greater value for our American customers in the future.
